Great food. Its hard to get in and out of there and gets very crowded at lunch time so if you come at odd hours you should be fine. The cheese and broccoli soup is amazing! The prices are very reasonable.

Love Panera. I live in Louisiana and am from Pennsylvania so as I was traveling through Tennessee I knew I would get a healthy meal and it would be what I expected. We came after the dinner rush and the tables were all very dirty. I ordered the barbecue chopped chicken salad which is normally a favorite of mine, however, it was skimping on the dressing and all the other ingredients, so it was mostly just salad. This experience could have been much better. And it was my boyfriends first time At a panera. I had really talked them Up so I think he was a little disappointed. I guess he'll have to try the one in my hometown instead....

Do they not care at all about cleanliness? The restaurant is like all the other Panera locations, but much dirtier. I don't think the dining room floor has been thoroughly cleaned in weeks. Rarely do I see the same employees when I visit. We could use a really good sandwich and pastry shop in town.

Food consistently good, but cleanliness is lacking. The tables need to be wiped off and the floor always littered with crumbs, etc. It wouldn't take much for someone to be going around checking on these things. Also, I have found the coffee to be out on several occasions and have had to tell someone. Employees are always nice and helpful.

This cafe is my favorite place to go to on my days off. I love to order a chai tea latte (theirs are absolutely delicious) with a book and read for as long as I wish. The ambience is wonderful and so is the staff. I swear, they literally perfect a chai tea latte. You can taste the cinnamon and spices, but it's not over-powering at all. Lovely business; I tell many of my friends to come here. Keep rocking, Panera Bread.

Consistently good. I love it here during off hours when it's not packed, you can enjoy unrushed coffee shop ambiance, good food, and fast wifi. Some things here are always great, I can enthusiastically recommend the following: 1) Cinnamon Crunch Bagel with Hazelnut Cream Cheese. Pick up a dozen before work and make a bunch of friends...these are sugary perfection. 2) Hazelnut Coffee. It's cute that they put the brewed time up on each refill pot and just about any kind of coffee accoutrements you desire including nutmeg. If you haven't had nutmeg in your hazelnut coffee, its' the best thing you can add besides whiskey which, sadly, isn't an option at Panera but it's about the only thing that isn't. 3) Everything Bagel with Veggie Cream Cheese. In the mood for savory goodness instead of sweetness, try this pair and don't be afraid to slather on that onion-y good cream cheese. 4) The Chicken Cobb with Avacado...almost the perfect salad. I say almost because they could really add a little more dressing most of the time, but it's hard to complain about this bowlful of yummy low-carb sustenance. I mean, come on! 5) Baguettes. Just good traditional slightly crusty bread. Put some butter out to soften at home, pick up a baguette on your trip to Panera, and enjoy them together when you get back. That's the list of recommendations, but there are a few other things you might need to know. If it's during a rush, you won't find a booth and it can get pretty loud. It's always very clean and a good spot to take a book or a laptop and chill. Unless a pack of unruly kids (or even 1 or 2 especially loud little buggers) or a gaggle of identically t-shirted family reunioners shows up you should enjoy a nice visit. They also usually have some good cookies, muffins, etc. All of the soups are full of carbs so if you're off the carbs stick to salads and coffee. I mean you're just going to have to show up and figure the rest out for yourself. Parking at the Johnson City Panera is pretty tight. The Kingsport store has better parking. They have a little rewards program, my wife and I share an account and occasionally get a free coffee.

This place has the friendliest people working. I was waited on by Emma today and I was impressed with her professional attitude.

food is very good. menu is always changing with the seasons so things are fresh & new all the time. nice selection of pastries for the sweet tooth . lattes are quite good as well. alittle pricey but not bad . also a great place to have group meetings or get-togethers. and the fire place feels good in the winter.

One loud cashier, but other than that this place nice. The manager, thinking like a manager, tells me the water cups are by the fountain and they are basically five ounce shot glasses for water == Fail. I just spent $30 and in 15 minutes I'm spending $10 more on bread and your going to give me a 5 oz water cup? FAIL That will cost at least one star, maybe two. The price, yeah, what about that price Panera. I'll admit I don't eat at Panera much, and the wife and kids had never ate at Panera. So, I wasn't prepared in my mind for $30 in sandwiches. Yeah, that's right, $30 in sandwiches. My two midgets only got PBJ for crying out loud. Panera, that is over priced! Now, the shining jewel here is the WIFI. I can't brag on that enough, even though I only used it with my HTC EVO phone, it worked great! Panera, that WIFI and the great outdoor seating just saved you a star!
